WHY JOIN WAG? While it is human nature for many people to sit on the sidelines very often we can only achieve our goals if a large group of individuals support us. This is such an occasion. Our small volunteer group has spent literally thousands of hours working to encourage the NSW Government to charge correct and reasonable rents/fees. Since early 2008, NSW Maritime and the LPMA (Lands) have refused to adjust an essential part of the rental formula known as the Rate of Return. This should have been correctly set in the first instance and then adjusted regularly since 2004. Despite expert evidence that the Rate of Return currently being used is up to 19 times the actual Rate of Return, the Govt’s failure to correct the situation is a disturbing development. WAG is now fully funding legal action in the NSW Court of Appeal and involved in the 2011 IPART review of the rental formula. This involves substantial expenditure. We therefore encourage you to join, and if you see fit, to make a generous donation to our Fighting Fund. It could well be the best investment that you will ever make. Successful outcomes from WAGs actions will pay you a handsome dividend in the way of substantially reduced rents/fees in the future. By joining WAG, you also automatically join the Boat Owners Association of NSW Inc (you don’t have to own a boat to be a member), and whichprovides huge benefits to its members. Please support us by joining WAG and donating to our Fighting Fund.Help us to help you – don’t be apathetic – get angry – fight back!!Download and/or complete the online WAG membership form on this website today!
